GENOA TWP., OH – November 18, 2011 – Rumpke has announced that they will be moving all Genoa Township trash service to Fridays starting on January 1, 2012.

Current service in the community is over the course of Thursday and Friday. Due to some changes to Rumpke’s routing, they will be providing all of Genoa Township’s trash services on one single day (Friday) in the coming year.

Leaf and Yard Waste Drop Off

Mark your calendars for the annual Genoa Township Leaf and Yard Waste Drop Off being held November 1 - 30, 2011. Genoa residents can drop off their leaf and yard waste at the Safety Service Complex located at 7049 Big Walnut Rd. There will be roll off containers in front of the maintenance building. Because leaf and yard waste go to a compost facility, they must be clear of all items such as plastic bags, trash and debris.

Questions or concerns can be directed to the Genoa Maintenance Department at 614-568-2080.

Fifth Annual Grand Oak Common Area and Trails Clean-up Day

Grand Oak residents from the condos and single-family homes completed another successful Trails Clean-up Day, Saturday April 16, 2011. This was the 5th Annual Clean-Up Day that has been scheduled the third Saturday in April each year.  Many volunteers came to help; surveyed and cleaned our green spaces during the two hour time, between showers.  We were grateful the rain held off long enough for most of the work to be completed. Genoa Township donated a one-ton truck to help haul away the refuse, and Keep Delaware County Beautiful donated bags, gloves, and pick-up tools. It was a great effort by the volunteers.

Help us continue to keep Grand Oak looking its best by remembering to pick-up trash anytime you are walking our lovely green spaces.  And a BIG THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!!!
